Our L!STEN Steering Group received a very special honour last week, here's Evie Coley-Scott to tell us all about it: Last week we had the absolute privilege of a lifetime to travel to London to collect our British Citizenship Youth Award ! We had a very early wake up call to get the train to Euston. 2 hours and a 20 minute delay later, we arrived in London. A quick changeover to the tube had us get off at embankment and walk along the Hungerford Bridge, take some photos and

On Saturday, some of the Make Good & Listen group enjoyed a lovely outdoor walk with friends! We headed to White Peak Alpaca Farm in Knutsford for a special activity – Alpaca Walking. Before meeting the alpacas, we stopped off at the cosy pub next door for a quick snack and drink. Then it was time to meet our fluffy walking partners! We were introduced to the alpacas, had chance to take some very cute photos, and then set off on our walk. The group guided the alpacas around t

Step Up head to Blackpool!
This week, Ciara & Danny are here giving us an update on the Step Up group and their summer activities... The Step Up group is really developing! From the initial session through to the team-building activities, it’s clear they’ve become a solid group and are getting to know each other better. This is fantastic, as it means they’ll recognise friendly faces and feel more confident when they start high school. Recently we had a great trip to Blackpool with our Step Up group! Th

Wellbeing Festival 2025
Our new recruit Daniyal wrote all about last month's, third successful Wellbeing Festival! On Wednesday 27th August, we took over Stockroom for the L!STEN Wellbeing Festival and what a day it turned out to be. From the minute people came through the doors, the place just felt alive. After signing in, grabbing raffle tickets and pizza tokens, everyone headed straight into a space that was buzzing with energy. The pottery sessions outside were a huge hit. EasyPeel set up under

Step Up Mentors 2025
Over the past couple of months, our Step Up Mentor group has been meeting at the PIE office for their Saturday sessions – and they’ve been busy! In the first few sessions, we explored what it really means to be a mentor. The group talked about the kind of role models they want to be, what’s expected of them in the Step Up Mentor programme, and how they can support younger students through the big transition to secondary school. Two years of L!STEN
The L!STEN Youth Alliance is a collaboration between PIE and Stockport Council. This work was commissioned in April 2023 and will run until March 2026. Over three years, we will look to ensure we are engaging with as many young people across Stockport as possible to ensure that voices are heard, youth issues are discussed, and that this information is appropriately fed back to members of the council to help inform future planning. At the end of each year we publish a report,

This involved not only teaching the women taking part to use Zoom for sessions, but ourselves as well! We ra
