2025-26 Education Projects at PIE

What a year for our education strand of PIE! Over the past academic year, we have had the privilege of supporting schools all over the North West; Stockport, Greater Manchester, Leeds and Blackpool. This year has also seen a shift in the way we work with students, moving beyond our structured programmes to offer more bespoke support, tailored to the needs of each school – ensuring we are maximising our time with them. From climate and social action to careers, transition and youth voice, we’ve continued to create opportunities to help young people become future ready.

Autumn Term – Building Connections and Inspiring Futures

Tameside Tracks at West Hill School - Young people worked together to improve Stalybridge Station through a youth-led social action project, creating lasting changes for their local community.

Careers Day at Stockport Academy - Students explored a wide range of career pathways through interactive workshops and meaningful conversations with local employers.

Spring Term – A Season of Growth and Opportunity

Youth Summit Preparation in Stockport Secondary Schools - Hundreds of young people shared their views on the issues that matter most to them, helping shape the agenda for the 2026 Stockport Youth Summit.

Stockport Youth Summit 2026 - Over 250 young people came together with decision-makers to share their voices, influence change and celebrate the power of youth leadership.

Tameside Tracks at Fairfield High School for Girls - Students transformed Fairfield Station through creative social action, designing improvements that will benefit both passengers and the wider community.

Hate Crime Awareness at Chorlton High School - Students explored identity, inclusion and allyship while creating a campaign to encourage understanding and challenge hate crime.

The Climate Project at Co-op Academy Leeds - Young people investigated environmental issues in their community before designing and delivering their own social action projects to create positive local change.

Future Me Days at Stockport Academy - Students developed confidence and aspirations by exploring future careers, life skills and the pathways available beyond school.

All Saints Primary School Careers Week - Primary pupils discovered a wide variety of careers while learning about the skills and aspirations that can help shape their futures.

Culture Kitchen at St Anne's - Students from diverse backgrounds celebrated culture, explored health inequalities and worked together to create meaningful social action within their school.

The Climate Project at TEMA - Students learned about climate change and sustainability before taking action to make a positive environmental impact in their community.

Bridgehall Primary School Drop Down Day - Year 6 pupils developed confidence for secondary school through practical transition activities, wellbeing sessions and resilience-building workshops.

Creative Launchpad with Burnage School for Boys and Chorlton High School - Students gained an insight into the creative industries while developing teamwork, communication and marketing skills through real-world projects.

PwC at Stockport Academy - Students worked alongside professionals from PwC to develop employability skills and gain valuable insight into the world of work.

Summer Term – Celebrating Success and Preparing for What's Next

Speed Networking at Stockport Academy - Students met professionals from a range of industries, building confidence and learning first-hand about different career journeys.

Social Action at Unity Academy Blackpool - Year 9 students led social action projects tackling issues including violence against women and girls and antisocial behaviour in their local community.

Supporting Beelong at Chorlton High School - We supported students in preparing for their annual Beelong Festival, helping them build confidence, leadership skills and a sense of belonging within their school community.

Transition Drop Down Day at Bridgehall Primary School - Working alongside local partners, we helped Year 6 pupils prepare for secondary school by building resilience, confidence and practical transition skills.
