Following the Stockport Youth Summit last week, we are looking to get more young people involved in youth voice and wider opportunities across Stockport. We would love to invite everyone to an upcoming drop-in session to explore next steps!
We are hosting a relaxed drop-in session where young people can find out more about and take part in our L!STEN Act Change and PIE Active Gamechangers projects:
Thursday 26th February 5:00pm – 7:00pm (drop in anytime) Hat Works, Stockport
Young people are welcome to attend at any point during the session to meet the team, connect with other young people, and find out more about one or both programmes in a friendly and supportive environment. There is no pressure to commit on the day — it is simply an opportunity to explore what they may be interested in getting involved in.
Here's a bit more information about our two current projects we are recruiting for:

L!STEN Act Change
Your voice. Your ideas. Your Stockport.
This is a brand new youth voice project shaped directly by what young people want to change in their area. Sessions are fun, interactive and focused on helping young people share what matters to them and what they would like to improve across Stockport.
For those who want to take their ideas further, they can also get involved in Action Labs, where young people turn ideas into real projects and connect with local organisations, businesses and community groups who can help make change happen.
There are lots of different ways to take part, and young people can get involved as much or as little as they feel comfortable with.

PIE Active Gamechangers
Be a Gamechanger. Get Moving, Your Way.
This project supports young people to explore different ways to get active — not just traditional sport, but walking, dance, gym, yoga, skating, outdoor adventures, creative movement and more.
As part of the group, young people will: Help design new and exciting activity opportunities in their area Share their ideas and have their voice heard Meet new people and work as a team Take part in fun, interactive sessions Support other young people to find activities they genuinely enjoy
We are particularly interested in hearing from young people about:
What activities are missing in their area
What would make it easier for young people to get active
What new activities they would like to try
This drop-in session is a great opportunity for your young person to learn more about one or both programmes and decide what they would like to be part of moving forward.
We are really excited to continue supporting young people to shape projects, share their views, and access wider opportunities across Stockport.
