It's a year since we moved into our Office at the Flourish Community Hub, upstairs at Heaton Chapel Train Station!
Last July we moved in after four years of being a part of the Federation Coworking community, firstly based in the Federation building and then in the home of Cooperatives UK. But as our team grew, it was time to look for a new office space that fitted our needs!
So we found our new home, as a team. Until then, we had zero storage for our many resources, so the staff breathed a sigh of relief as we filled up our little office with the boxes / bags that had lived in our homes for so long! We had space to grow and to help us feel like we could improve our work-life balance.
Here's a few before & after pics of the Hub and our office:
As we've slowly made the space our own, and done many re-organisations (!) we have definitely made ourselves at home, and really value our own space. We're now more economically effective as we can utilise & share resources more successfully. It also helps to encourage us to be environmentally minded as we can easily nip on the train to places!
We also now have a great area for our team meetings, board meetings and even community get-togethers & sessions with our young people. It's a great space for us and all of our PIE Community!
Finally, the Hub is a great place to connect with other like minded organisations in the co-working space, and of course with Waymarking & Flourish - our wonderful cohabitants! Find out more about the Hub here.
