Make Good & L!STEN Walking Group

It's time for a quick update on our MakeGood & L!STEN Walking group! This group is made up of a variety of young people, but many have come from our MakeGood & L!STEN care-leavers group. We have had a fantastic time with our groups becoming more active through our walks. We’ve visited several parks around Stockport, including Vernon Park, Etherow Country Park, and a number of parks around Cheadle. We have also enjoyed walks around Stockport Town Centre, admiring all the amazing local artwork along the way.

It has been wonderful to get out into the community, moving together, chatting, and enjoying the outdoors. During some of our walks, we have also completed creative acts of kindness to give back to the community and walk with purpose.

Along the way, we have been exploring the Plastic Shed murals installed in 10 parks across Stockport. These amazing pieces of art showcase the power of community cohesion and celebrate the incredible work taking place locally. They look fantastic in the parks and have been a real highlight of our walks.
