PIE (featuring Antony Szmierek) hosted our first family quiz last week! On Saturday 23rd of January, funded by Your Digital Family - the aim was to get families spending time together, and also talking about their own digital habits. A further aim being to highlight that this is an issue for parents as well as young people.
We had over 40 families from across Stockport join in the quiz, all of whom had been provided with a goody bag to help them enjoy the evening. This included sweet treats, glow sticks, craft activities and more!
As well as the Your Digital Family rounds which focused on questions around different digital themes, other rounds of the Quiz were animal riddles, scavenger hunts (looking for items around the house!) and a toilet roll challenge which involved dressing a family member in loo roll!
Between rounds, our host Antony provided a family disco too - the glow sticks came in handy!
Winners on the evening were the Connell family from Marple, with other runners up coming from Bredbury, Edgeley and Adswood - it really was an event for people all over Stockport.
Mason who is 7 from Marple said the following about the quiz:
"The quiz was so much fun. I loved the glow stick disco! Thank you!!
The goody bag had so many treats. I loved the sweets and the stickers.
My best round was the toilet paper game, we dressed my brother as a toilet paper ninja!!"
